3. Safety and Danger Instructions

AM
When in doubt about how to connect it correctly or should the-
re be questions that are not replied to in these operating
instructions contact our Technical Advisory Service or another
expert.
Capacitors on circuit boards may still be charged even
if they have been separated from the voltage sources.
In case of a short circuit enormously high currents
might flow when supplied with electricity by storage or
lead acid storage batteries. In such a case the connec-
ting wires can become extremely hot and may burn.
If there is room to believe that safe operation has beco-
me impossible put the radio set out of operation and
secure it against any unintended operation. Safe opera-
tion must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
• the modules or the connecting wires exhibit visible
damage
• the modules do not operate any longer
• the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
for a long period of time or
• the product was exposed to extraordinary stress cau-
sed by transport.
Avoid strong mechanical stress and high temperatures,
strong vibrations or high humidity. This might damage
the transmitter and the receiver.
