Alignment

All adjustment controls not mentioned in this description are adjusted during production and must not be re-adjusted in the case of repairs.

Measuring instruments: 100MHz oscilloscope with 10:1 test probe, digital voltmeter, colour test pattern generator, Service Toolbox
Checks and adjustments after replacement or repair of:
- Chassis: alignment 1
- Signal module: alignment 2, 3
- CIC31010 (signal module): alignment 2, 3, 16
- PIP/signal module: alignment 4, 5
- CIC80230 (feature module): alignment 6...12, 16, 17
- Horizontal deflection: alignment 13, 14, (15)
Alignment
1. +A voltage It is absolutely necessary to check and re-adjust these
voltages if necessary after every repair and before
every alignment.
Digital voltmeter: D61516 / cathode

2. Terr. Tuner Typ Call up the "Terr. Tuner" menu via "EASY DIALOG" –>
"Installation" –> "Only for the retailer" –> Code number
"8500" –> "Hardware settings".
3. Tuner AGC Connect the 100MHz oscilloscope to the tuner contact 10
(signal module) or 11 and to tuner ground.
Feed in a test pattern (sound carrier switched off) via the
aerial, 70...80dBµV.
Call up the "AGC setting" menu via "EASY DIALOG " –>
"Installation" (to page 2) –> "Dealer service menu" –>
"8500" –> "Special functions".
4. Tuner AGC/PIP Connect the 100MHz oscilloscope to the tuner contact 10
(PIP/signal or 11 and to tuner ground.

Alignment procedure
Use the R61508 control to adjust the value according to the
table (page 3-22).
Select the appropriate tuner type.
Set to 300-350mV .

Use the RV R32122 control to set 300-350mV
PIP/signal module (295042120400).
Determine the exact operating voltage UB.
Set half the operating voltage UB/2 with F32085 on the
PIP/signal module (295042120400).
Determine the exact operating voltage UB.
Adjust half the operating voltage UB/2 with R32334 on
the PIP/signal module (295042120400).
Optimize existing run time differences between the Y and
chroma signals. The channel positions 1...199 are
optimized at the same time.
Set the noise reduction ("off", "low", "automatic", "high") for
every channel position.
Set the noise reduction ("manual", "off", "low", "automatic")
for the channel positions 1...199 at the same time.
