Connecting your Telephone to your Hands-Free Set
(Pairing)
This section explains the general procedure for connecting a Bluetooth hands-free set
with a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone. However, the procedure can vary slightly
depending on the mobile phone. Therefore, please also refer to the operating manual
of your mobile phone on the configuration of equipment and keep it within easy reach.

First Installation of your Hands-Free Set with your Telephone

Use of the Bluetooth hands-free set requires a pairwise connection with a Bluetooth-
compatible mobile phone. If your mobile phone requests entry of a PIN number in the
course of the process, enter 1234.
• Ensure that the hands-free set is switched on (the "Display" (3) shows the word
"Zeta").
• Make sure Bluetooth is activated on the mobile phone.
• Press and hold the "Take Call" button for 5 seconds. The "Display" (3) shows the
text "Ready to Pair".
• The hands-free set (Zeta) will now be found by the telephone. When requested,
enter the PIN 1234 into your mobile phone.
• When a connection has been successfully made the "Display" (3) shows the word
"Zeta".
If the connection attempt is not successful, switch off both the telephone and hands-
free set. Wait approx. 5 seconds and repeat the steps described above.
Depending on the mobile phone, it is generally the case that the hands-free set auto-
matically connects with your mobile phone "after" the first connection has been suc-
cessfully made. If an automatic connection is not made, press the "Take Call" button
(5) in order to make a connection with your mobile phone.
