Switch position "I":
The rechargeable battery can be loaded by the solar cell. Also, the LED spotlight or
LED spots are activated at dusk.
Switch position "O":
The rechargeable battery is not loaded by the solar cell. Also, the LED spotlight or
LED spots are not activated at dusk.
16. General handling of solar lamps
The lighting duration varies according to the season, depending on the duration and
strength of the sunlight the panels are exposed to during the day and thus on the
charging state of the battery. Long periods without sufficient sun radiation (especially
in winter) can lower the charge state of the battery until lighting is no longer possible.
The battery stores less energy during the day than the activated LEDs consume.
17. Changing the Rechargeable Battery
If the battery voltage is too low, the LEDs may be activated for a shorter period of
time than set by you. In this case, switch the "ON/OFF"-switch to the "I" position and
charge the battery without switching the "ON/OFF"-switch to "O". For this, the solar
cell must be subject to optimum sunlight for at least 8 hours.
When the integrated battery has reached the end of its lifecycle, the battery must be
replaced.
Repairs should only be conducted by a specialist.
Please proceed as follows to replace the rechargeable batteries.
• Put the "ON/OFF" switch to the "O" position.
• Remove the fixing screws of the housing.
• Carefully remove the rechargeable battery.
• Mark the lines that are to be connected to the plus and minus poles respectively.
This is required to avoid wrong polarity.
