• Open the battery compartment on the
back of the universal remote control.
• Insert two new 1.5V micro-batteries
(AAA) in the battery compartment, pay-
ing attention to the polarity markings.
• The correct polarity is indicated in the
base of the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
The memory content is retained for approx. 2 minutes when
changing the batteries. If the battery exchange isnot com-
pleted within this time period, the codes must be repro-
grammed.

Programming

Direct code entry

Example for programming your television:
• Switch on your TV (not on standby).
• Hold down the SET key (12) and press the TV key (8) once.
• The transmission display (2) flashes.
• Let go of both buttons.
• Enter the three digit TV code for your device from the code list provid-
ed.
• If you carry out this procedure correctly, the transmission display ceas-
es flashing (2).
• If the programming has not been correctly transferred, the transmis-
sion display (2) flashes twice, which means that the code number may
be incorrect.
SET
• Point the universal remote control at your TV and press the ON/OFF
key (1). Your TV should switch off. If none or only a few of the keys
work, repeat the steps described and try every code listed for your TV
brand until you find the correct code.
• Your universal remote control is now programmed to control your TV.
Note down your code to ensure you have it for later reprogramming.
• To programme other devices, repeat the steps described for your
video recorder, your satellite receiver, your audio devices and all other
devices.
To exit the programming process during code entry, press
one of the device keys once (8).
If you do not enter any code for a period of 10 seconds, the
transmission display (2) stops flashing and the device
returns to its normal mode of operation.
