Selecting the Gear

The gear selection knob (7) is located at the bottom side of the impact
drill. The gear selection knob may only be operated when the motor is
at a complete standstill.
 Turn the gear selection knob so that the "1"
points to the arrow icon. The impact drill
operates in the first gear with a max.
revolution speed of 1000 min
max. impact rate of 16000 min
impact drilling.
 Turn the gear selection knob so that the "2"
points to the arrow icon. The impact drill
operates in the second gear with a max.
revolution speed of 2800 min
max. impact rate of 44800 min

Maintenance, Cleaning and Storing

 Always unplug the impact drill before maintaining it.
 Before each use ensure that the ventilation slots are open and
clean.
 Never clean the impact drill with water. Use a soft cloth to clean the
housing. Do not use aggressive chemicals or solvents to clean the
machine as these may damage the surfaces.
 If the machine works powerlessly and sparking occurs at the
brushes, it may be a sign that the carbon brushes are worn and
have to be replaced. Only have the carbon brushes replaced by a
professional or return the unit to the Westfalia customer service
department. Do not open the housing. Do not try to repair it yourself.
 If the keyed drill chuck became damaged, do not try to repair it
yourself. Have it replaced by a professional only or contact the
Westfalia customer service.
 Store the impact drill indoors in a dry place that is protected from
dust, dirt and extreme temperatures.
 Store the device out of reach of children.
