8. Operation

a) Switching the Indoor Unit On/Off

• Switch on the indoor unit by briefly pressing the button "
appear after about 1 or 2 seconds.
After approx. 1 minute, the outdoor unit switches to standby mode, the image goes out but the power LED (26) lights
up.

If you want to switch to standby mode before the end of one minute, briefly press the button "/

If the indoor unit is off, pressing the call button at the outdoor unit will not have any effect. The indoor unit
will not display an image nor will the ring tone be output by the indoor unit.
Therefore, observe that the indoor unit is always switched on when you need it (power LED lit).

b) Displaying Camera Image, Recording

• If the camera image is to be displayed on the indoor unit screen (e.g. if you want to watch what happens outside
the door), briefly press the button "/
• If desired, you can start recording of image and sound (and terminate it again) by briefly pressing button "
(23).
• Use the button "/

The indoor unit switches to standby automatically after one minute if no button is pressed in this time.
A recording is also terminated automatically.

c) Visitor Pushes Call Button at the Outdoor Unit

• If a visitor is standing in front of the door and pushes the call button (4), a confirmation sound is output at the outdoor
unit first.
• The indoor unit is activated and the camera or outdoor unit image appears. The indoor unit speakers (25) also emit
a call sound.
The indoor unit speakers (25) then emit all sounds/conversations recorded by the outdoor unit microphone (5) and
transferred wirelessly.
• If desired, you can start recording of image and sound manually (and terminate it again) by briefly pressing button
" /ESC" (23).

Automatic recording can be switched on in the OSD menu, see chapter 9. c).
• If you want to talk to the visitor, keep the button "
The microphone (27) is integrated in the indoor unit at the upper right. You do not need to go closer than 30 cm
to the microphone; otherwise, the recording will overmodulate.
