Safety fuse replacement in the cigarette lighter adapter
The cigarette lighter adapter has an internal safety fuse. If the safety fuse trips (e.g. after a short-circuit at the
USB connector), it can be replaced as follows:
• Turn the plastic knurled screw to the left in the clockwise direction, till the front section with the contact pin
can be removed.
• Take the safety fuse out and replace it with a safety fuse of identical design (micro fuse 5 x 20 mm, 250 V,
F 1 A; fast tripping characteristic).
• Place the front section containing the contact pin and turn the plastic knurled screw to the right in the clock
wise direction.
A defective safety fuse should not be bypassed. Never use a safety fuse with higher current or
other tripping characteristics. It can lead to fire!
