A) Null Balancing; Measuring Ac And Dc Voltage - VOLTCRAFT VC-2020 Bedienungsanleitung

a) Null balancing

Prior to each measuring, perform a null balance via the calibration screw (11) (e.g.
0V). In case of resistance measuring, short-circuit the measuring tips. Switch on the
multimeter via the rotary switch (8) and select the measuring function.
b) Measuring AC and DC voltage
In no event exceed the max. permitted input values, neither do it
when measuring superposed direct voltages (e.g. ripple voltages).
Proceed as follows to measure dc voltages:
- On the rotary switch, select the measuring
range V (with model VC-5060 „V")
and additionally press the AC/DC convert-
er (10) for DC operation.
- Connect the black measuring line with the
COM socket (4) and the red measuring line
with the VΩ socket (3 or 5).
- Now perform null balancing.
- Observe the correct polarity (red = + /
black = -) and connect the two measuring
tips with the measuring object (battery, cir-
cuit, etc.).
- In case of wrong polarity, the indicator on
the VC-2020 moves left. Interrupt measur-
ing and correct the polarity. VC-5060 shows a wrong polarity negative value cor-
rectly and signals this with the DC wrong polarity indicator (14). Adjusting the
polarity is not required here.
- Read off the measuring value on the scale „V" resp. „DCV".
Proceed as follows to measure AC voltages:
- On the rotary switch, select the measuring range V
5060. Make sure that the AC/DC converter (10) is not pressed. The AC display (15)
is lit (only VC-5060).
- Connect the black measuring line with the COM socket (4) and the red measuring
line with the V socket (3 or 5).
- Now perform null balancing.
- Now connect the two measuring prods to the object to be measured (battery,
switch etc.).
- Read off the measuring value on the scale „V" resp. „ACV".

g) Essai de diodes
L´essai de diodes permet de déterminer la tension de conduction d´une diode. Le
VC-2020 affiche en plus le courant de fonctionnement des diodes électrolumines-
centes.
Procédez comme suit pour cette mesure:
- Sélectionnez sur le commutateur rotatif
laplage de mesure /
le modèle VC-5060)
ou „x10 /15 mA" (pour le modèle VC-
2020).
- Reliez le câble de mesure noir à la douille
COM (4) et le câble rouge à la douille V/
(3 ou 5).
- Effectuez la compensation à zéro.
- Reliez maintenant les deux pointes de la
sonde à l'objet à mesurer (diode).
- Relevez la valeur mesurée pour la tension
de conduction sur l´échelle „Dv" (VC-
5060) ou „LV" (VC-2020).
- Le courant de fonctionnement des diodes
électroluminescetnes est affiché
l´échelle „LI" du VC-2020.
Pour le VC-2020, il est possible de sélectionner un courant de fonc-
tionnement (dans la plage Ohm) de 60µA à 150 mA. Attention ! Un
courant trop élevé peut endommager le module.
- Si rien n´est affiché, la diode sera donc mesurée en direction inverse ou la diode
est défectueuse (interruption).
