• The LCR Measuring Instrument 4073 is constructed and tested to Part 1 per
DIN 57 0411 and VDE 0550 and left the factory in a perfect, technically-safe
condition. To maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation, it is essential for
the user to observe the safety instructions and warning notes which are contained
in these user instructions.
• Measuring instruments do not belong in the hands of children !
• In commercial facilities the accident-prevention regulations of the industrial
employers' liability association for electrical systems and equipment must be
observed.
• In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops, the handling of
power supplies and accessories must be supervised responsibly by trained per-
sonnel.
• Take particular care when dealing with voltages greater than 25 V AC or greater
than 35 V DC. Even at these voltages it is possible to receive a lethal electric shock
if electrical conductors are touched.
• Before every change in measuring range, the test probes must be removed from
the object being measured.
• Before each measurement check your measuring instrument and test leads for
damage.
• Capacitors to be measured are to be completely discharged before each measure-
ment.
• Measurements on voltage-carrying components or circuit elements or similar are
not possible! Life can be endangered if voltages of more than 25 VAC rms or 35
VDC are touched.
• The measuring instrument should not be used in areas or under adverse environ-
mental conditions in which inflammable gas, fumes or dust are present or can
occur.
• For your own safety it is essential to avoid the measuring instrument or test leads
becoming damp or wet.
• Only use the test leads which are supplied with the measuring instrument. Others
should not be used.
• To avoid electric shock, care should be taken that the test probes and the
connections (measurement points) are not touched during measurement, not even
indirectly.

Verwijdering
Werkt het LCR-meetinstrument ondanks intacte voeding (9-V-blokbatterij) niet resp.
kan het niet meer worden gerepareerd, dan moet het volgens de geldende wettelijke
voorschriften worden afgevoerd.
Opheffen van storingen
Met het LCR-meetinstrument 4073 bent u bezitter geworden van een product, dat
volgens de nieuwste stand der techniek werd geconstrueerd. Desondanks kunnen er
zich problemen of storingen voordoen. Daarom wordt hierna beschreven, hoe u een
paar van deze storingen relatief gemakkelijk zelf kunt opheffen; Neem beslist de vei-
ligheidsbepalingen in acht Veiligheidsvoorschriften!

Let op!
- Bij het openen van afdekkingen of het verwijderen van onderde-
len, behalve wanneer dit met de hand mogelijk is, kunnen onder
spanning staande delen worden vrij gelegd. Ook de aansluitpun-
ten kunnen onder spanning staan. Voor een afregeling, onder-
houd, reparatie of vervanging van onderdelen of modules, moet
het apparaat van alle stroomcircuits zijn afgesloten, wanneer het
apparaat geopend moet worden. Wanneer daarna een afrege-
ling, onderhoud of reparatie op het geopende apparaat onder
spanning niet te vermijden is, mag dat alleen door een vakman
gebeuren, die met de daarmee verbonden gevaren resp. de
betreffende voorschriften (VDE-0100, VDE-0701, VDE-0683) ver-
trouwd is.
- Condensators in het apparaat kunnen nog geladen zijn, zelfs
wanneer het apparaat van alle stroomcircuits is afgesloten.
