Removing the Reed After use, remove the reed from the mouthpiece, dry it using a clean cloth, and store it in a reed case. - Seite 10 Drying the Body and Pads 1) Insert the swab in the bell and pull it slowly through the body to remove all moisture. 2) Moisture tends to collect at the tenon joints. This can easily cause cracks so be sure to remove all moisture from the tenons and tenon receivers with a cleaning swab.

Wipe keys and covers carefully to avoid scratches or damage to the pads. Should the mechanism become tarnished, use a little silver polish on polishing gauze.
