  • Seite 10 Drying the Body and Pads 1) Insert the swab in the bell and pull it slowly through the body to remove all moisture. 2) Moisture tends to collect at the tenon joints. This can easily cause cracks so be sure to remove all moisture from the tenons and tenon receivers with a cleaning swab.
  • Seite 11 Cleaning Outer Surfaces The outer surface of the clarinet should be polished by wiping lengthwise with a polishing cloth, taking care not to press on the keys. Wipe keys and covers carefully to avoid scratches or damage to the pads. Should the mechanism become tarnished, use a little silver polish on polishing gauze.
  • Seite 12 Applying Oil 1) The inner wood surface of your clarinet should be oiled from time to time (as needed).
