PRECAUTIONS ON USING JIG SAW
This Jig saw em ploys a high-pow er m otor. If the m achine
is used continuously at low speed, an extra load is applied
to the m otor w hich can result in m otor seizure. Alw ays
operate the pow er tool so that the blade is not caught by
the m aterial during operation. Alw ays adjust the blade
speed to enable sm ooth cutting.

APPLICATIONS
Cutting various lum ber and pocket cutting
Cutting m ild steel plate, alum inum plate, and copper
plate
Cutting synthetic resins, such as phenol resin and vinyl
chloride

PRIOR TO OPERATION
1. Pow er source
Ensure that the pow er source to be utilized conform s
to the pow er requirem ents specified on the product
nam eplate.
2. Pow er sw itch
Ensure that the pow er sw itch is in the OFF position.
If the plug is connected to a receptacle while the power

sw itch is in the ON position, the pow er tool w ill start
operating im m ediately, w hich could cause a serious
accident.
3. Extension cord
When the w ork area is rem oved from the pow er
source, use an extension cord of sufficient thickness
and rated capacity. The extension cord should be kept
as short as practicable.
4. Dust produced in operation
The dust produced in norm al operation m ay affect
the operator's health. Either of follow ing w ay is
recom m ended.
a) Wear a dust mask
b) Use external dust collection equipment
When using the external dust collection equipm ent,
connect the adapter w ith the hose from external dust
collection equipm ent.
5. Changing blades
(1) Open the lever up to the stop. (Fig. 1-I)
(2) Rem ove fitted blade.
(3) Insert new blade up to the stop in the blade holder.
(Fig. 1-II)
(4) Close the lever. (Fig. 1-III)
CAUTION:
Be sure to sw itch pow er OFF and disconnect the plug
from the receptacle w hen changing blades.
Do not open the lever w hen plunger is m oving.
NOTE:
Confirm the protrusions of blade inserted to the blade
holder surely. (Fig. 2)
Confirm the blade located betw een the groove of
roller. (Fig. 3)
6. Adjusting the blade operating speed
This Jig Saw is equipped w ith the electric control
circuit w hich enables stepless speed control. To adjust
the speed, turn the dial show n in Fig. 4. When the dial
is set to " 1" , the jig saw operates at the m inim um
speed (850m in
). When the dial set to " 5" , the jig saw
