Programming an Address

Two (2) CVs must be set (CV1, CV9) in order to program an
address under DCC. The turnout group address is set. The
individual turnout addresses are calculated in the same
manner as when setting the address with dip switches.
Turnout Group Address = CV1 + (CV9 x 64)
Example:
CV1 = 15, CV9 = 3 ->
Turnout Group Address:
Individual Turnout Addresses:
The turnouts have the individual turnout addresses
825 to 828.
Note: The address can be programmed or it can be set with
the dip switches. In both cases, the last setting done is the
valid one.
Automatic Turnout Circuits (CV 34 & CV 35)
Two (2) outputs on the decoder can be linked together and
thus switched together for a three-way turnout or a double
slip switch. This is done with the function „Automatic
Turnout Circuit".
15 + (3 x 64) = 207
207 x 4 - 3 = 825

Configuration of the Outputs

The outputs on the m83 can be changed by means of CV
112 – 135.
• Switching Function indicates how the output is supposed
to work, see table on Page 10
If a switching function is selected that is not usable, the
switching function „Dim" is always used.
• Pulse Width indicates how long the switching impulse is
supposed to last. See mfx, Dimmer
• Period indicates how fast the switching impulse is suppo-
sed to be repeated.
We recommend the following pulse widths and periods for
our turnout mechanisms:
C Track Turnout: 30%, 0.25 seconds
K Track Turnout: 75%, 0.5 seconds
M Track Turnout: 75%, 0.5 seconds
The 60216/60226 CS3 offers an extensive settings menu for
the configuration of the outputs.
