When operating the device, never leave it unattended.
Keep electric appliances out of reach of children. Be particularly careful in the presence of children as these could try to put objects
into the device through the openings in the housing. It can cause perilous electric shock danger!
Do not leave the packaging material littered. Plastic foils or bags, polystyrene parts, etc. could become dangerous playing material for
children.
For instance, place no vases or plants on the device. If liquids enter the device, it can impair its electrical safety. Moreover, it can cause
fire or perilous electric shock danger! In such a case immediately disconnect the device from the power supply (pull the power plug)
and do not operate it any more, bring the device to a competent repair workshop.
Never open the device. There are no parts inside the device which you should adjust or service. Moreover, if touching electrical com-
ponents there might be danger of electrical shock, lethal danger!
Maintenance works, settings or repairs are allowed to be performed only by an expert electrician or expert workshop.
Never switch on the device immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a warm room. Condensation water that forms might
destroy your device. Let the switched off device become room temperature. This might take several hours!
Thunderstorms are a potential danger to every electrical device. Even if the device is off, it can be damaged due to overvoltage on the
power line or on the antenna cable.
This is why you must disconnect the mains cable from the power socket during the thunderstorm, disconnect also the antenna cable
from the antenna power socket or from the connection on the rear of the device.
Do the same with another electrical appliances, to avoid damage caused by an overload.
The device is equipped with a Class 1 laser. Settings which are performed in an inexpert way could have the consequence of a haz-
ardous laser radiation. The interior of the device houses an instruction plate, the contents of which should be observed by an expert
repairing the device.
Observe the safety regulations laid down by the professional trade association for electrical equipment and installations in industrial
and commercial facilities.
The product, if used at schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself and hobby workshops should not be handled unless if supervised by
well-instructed trained personnel.
4. Choice of the installation place
The optimum viewing distance (from eyes to screen) is approx. 2m (screen diagonal * 5).
Choose the installation place so that the device is not located near the central heating or in the blazing sun. Foreign light sources (from
the window or lamps) can affect the quality of the image.
Make sure no devices such as transformers, motors, loudspeakers or other TV sets/monitors are located near the device.
Protect the device against vibrations, dust, heat, coldness and moisture. The operation of the device is only allowed in dry rooms.
Never cover the ventilation slots of the device because this might cause heat accumulation that could damage
the device. In addition, there is a fire hazard!
If you wish to fit the device in the wall unit or in another proper TV/HiFi furniture, make sure the distance between the furniture and the
device is sufficient (at least 10cm sideways and 20cm at top).
When installing the device take care to place it on a substrate which is solid, smooth, stable, and sufficiently large. Make sure the
device cannot fall down because this could injure people.
Take care not to squeeze the mains cable and other connection cables and not to damage them by sharp
edges.
Do not place e.g. any vases or plants on the device as well as no objects (e.g. a TV guide). Do not place any blanket or the like between
the device and the surface where it is installed.
Because of variety of used lacquers and polishes for furniture it can happen that the device base, caused by a chemical reaction, could
leave residua on furniture. In addition, weight-induced pressure marks, caused by the device, are possible.
That's why do not put the device without appropriate protection on the valuable furniture surfaces.

18. Wartung und Reinigung

Überprüfen Sie regelmässig die technische Sicherheit des Produkts und der angeschlossenen Geräte, z.B. Beschädigung des Gehäu-
ses oder des Netzkabels.
Wenn anzunehmen ist, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, so ist das Produkt ausser Betrieb zu setzen und gegen
unbeabsichtigten Betrieb zu sichern. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose!
Es ist anzunehmen, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, wenn
• das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist,
• das Gerät nicht mehr funktioniert und
• nach schweren Transportbeanspruchungen.
Bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen oder warten, beachten Sie unbedingt folgende Sicherheitshinweise:
Vor einer Reinigung, Wartung oder Instandsetzung muss das Gerät von allen Spannungsquellen getrennt werden, zie-
hen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose! Das Ausschalten über den Netzschalter genügt nicht!
Es sind keinerlei vom Anwender zu wartende Teile im Inneren des Produkts; das Gehäuse darf nicht geöffnet werden.
Eine Reparatur darf nur durch eine Fachkraft erfolgen, die mit den damit verbundenen Gefahren bzw. einschlägigen
Vorschriften vertraut ist.
Zur Reinigung der Aussenseite des Produkts reicht ein weiches, trockenes und fusselfreies Tuch.
Für stärkere Verschmutzungen können Sie das Tuch leicht mit lauwarmen Wasser anfeuchteten.
Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder chemische Lösungen, da dadurch das Gehäuse angegriffen oder gar
die Funktion beeinträchtigt werden kann.
Bevor Sie die TV-DVD-Kombi wieder anschließen und mit der Netzspannung verbinden, warten Sie, bis das Gerät vollständig trocken ist.

19. Entsorgung

Entsorgen Sie das unbrauchbar gewordene Produkt gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften.

Entsorgung von gebrauchten Batterien, Umwelthinweis

Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batterieverordnung) zur Rückgabe aller gebrauchten Batterien und Akkus verpflichtet; eine
Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist untersagt!
Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit den links stehenden Mülltonnen-Symbolen gekennzeichnet, die auf das Ver-
bot der Entsorgung über den Hausmüll hinweisen.
Die Bezeichnungen für das ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind:
Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Quecksilber, Pb=Blei.
Die Bezeichnung steht auf der Batterie/Akku z.B. unter dem jeweiligen Mülltonnen-Symbol.
Ihre verbrauchten Batterien/Akkus können Sie unentgeltlich bei den Sammelstellen Ihrer Gemeinde, unseren Filialen
oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien/Akkus verkauft werden!
Sie erfüllen damit die gesetzlichen Verpflichtungen und leisten Ihren Beitrag zum Umweltschutz.
