• CAPTIONS
Bei manchen DVDs werden Untertitel (z.B. zusätzliche Informationen für Gehörlose) direkt ins Bild eingeblendet (nicht
Subtitles/Untertitel!). Über diese Funktion können diese ein- oder ausgeschaltet werden; dies funktioniert aber nur bei DVDs, die die-
se Funktion erlauben.
• SCREEN SAVER
Wenn die DVD gestoppt ist oder das Bild für längere Zeit steht (Standbild/Pause), so kann ein Bildschirmschoner Beschädigungen
an der Bildröhre oder extern angeschlossenen Bildschirmen verhindern.
Der Bildschirmschoner kann eingeschaltet oder ausgeschaltet werden.

b) Menüpunkt "SPEAKER SETUP"
Hier kann eingestellt werden, wie das 5.1-Audiosignal der DVD auf die beiden Cinch-Buchsen des Audioausgangs der TV-DVD-Kom-
bi ausgegeben wird.

• DOWNMIX
- LT/RT
Diese Einstellung ist bei DVDs mit getrenntem linken und rechtem Audiokanal (z.B. links deutsche Sprache, rechts englische Spra-
che) zu wählen.
- STEREO
Der 5.1-Sound der DVD wird zusammengemischt auf ein normales Stereosignal.

c) Menüpunkt "DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP"
Stellen Sie mit dieser Funktion den Dynamikumfang (leise Töne werden lauter, laute Töne werden leiser wiedergegeben) der Audiowie-
dergabe ein.

Wählen Sie rechts im Bild über den Schieberegler den Dynamikumfang.

d) Menüpunkt "VIDEO SETUP"
Für die Wiedergabe von DVDs (oder auch SVCDs oder VCDs) kann eine Voreinstellung für die Helligkeit ("BRIGHTNESS") und den
Kontrast ("CONTRAST") gemacht werden.
Selbstverständlich kann während der Wiedergabe über die Taste "MENU" (32) die Helligkeit und der Kontrast zusätzlich verstellt werden.
Da der Helligkeits- und Kontrasteindruck von DVDs/SVCDs/VCDs und den Fernsehsendern unterschiedlich sein kann,
erspart diese Einstellung das umständliche Verstellen von Helligkeit und Kontrast beim Wechsel zwischen TV-Modus
und DVD-Modus.

Stellen Sie hier die gewünschte Helligkeit ein.

Once the desired page has been transmitted in the teletext a small faded-in picture showing the page number will appear in the run-
ning television picture.
Press the "X" key anew to switch back to the teletext mode again and to have the teletext page shown.
f) Fade in the hour, " " (22) key
This function is only available if the respective TV transmitter transmits the teletext.
The current time will be transmitted via the teletext (received by the radio controlled clock). To have it displayed press the "
key of the remote control unit.
The time of the teletext will be displayed in the right upper corner of the running television picture.
Press the key " " (22) again to make the time disappear.
Some TV transmitters shortly use the hour display for running texts/advertisements or the like.
g) Enlargement function, " " (20) key
This function is available only in the teletext mode.
The writing of the teletext may be displayed larger if you feel it is too small.
Proceed as follows:
Press the " " key of the remote control unit (20). The upper half of the currently displayed teletext page will be shown in double
its height.
Press the " "key anew. The bottom half of the currently displayed teletext page will be shown in double its height.
Pressing the " " key anew will switch off the enlargement function again, the current teletext page will be displayed in a normal
size again.
h) Displaying concealed writing, "?" (21) key
This function is available only in the teletext mode.
Concealed information exists in some teletext pages, e.g. on a riddle page of the teletext (Example: ARD teletext page 571, number
could be changed).
Press the "?" key of the remote control unit (21) to display any concealed information that might exist.
"ARD" and "ZDF" transmitters fade in VPS pages in their TV program (e.g. teletext pages 301 to 303) if you press the
"?" key.
i) Stop function for teletext multiple pages, "
This function is available only in the teletext mode.
Some teletext pages are so-called "multiple pages". In the "ARD", page 561 or 562 displays a cooking recipe (Note that the page allo-
cation/page number could be changed).
Since the whole cooking recipe mostly does not fit onto a single teletext page the second part of the cooking recipe will be shown
when teletext page 561 is transmitted anew.
Hence, the TV transmitter transmits different teletext pages on one and the same teletext page number!
If you wish to copy the cooking recipe the second page of the cooking recipe will surely be transmitted after a while. You would have
to wait until the first page is displayed again and could then continue to copy the text. It is understood that this is rather uncomfortable
and wastes time.
Press the " " key of the remote control (28), if you wish to see the television picture while search is under way, in order to prevent
the multiple page from being moved along automatically. A "Hand" symbol will be displayed instead of the teletext page number at top
left. Now, you could calmly copy the first page of the cooking recipe.
To deactivate the stop function, press " " key again.
