c) Lautstärke einstellen, Stummschaltung
Die gewünschte Lautstärke kann über die Tasten "VOL bzw. "VOL " auf der Frontseite des Geräts (E) bzw. auf der Fernbedienung
(36) eingestellt werden.
Über die Taste "MUTE" der Fernbedienung (47) kann die Tonwiedergabe stumm geschaltet werden (wenn Sie z.B. telefonieren wollen).
Drücken Sie die Taste "MUTE" erneut, um die Stummschaltung zu beenden.

10. Sonderfunktionen

a) Einstellung von Helligkeit, Farbstärke, Kontrast, Bildschärfe
Taste "MENU" auf der Fernbedienung (32) oder dem Gerät (F) drücken
Mit den Tasten "VOL " bzw. "VOL " die Einstelloption "PICTURE" auswählen
Taste "CH " oder "CH " drücken
Mit den Tasten "CH " bzw. "CH " eine der folgenden Einstellungen wählen:
"BRIGHTNESS" = Helligkeit
"COLOUR" = Farbstärke
"CONTRAST" = Kontrast
"SHARPNESS" = Bildschärfe
Mit den Tasten "VOL " bzw. "VOL " den eingestellten Wert verändern
Beenden Sie die Einstellungen mit der Taste "MENU". Alternativ können Sie auch ein paar Sekunden warten, dann wird der Einstell-
Modus automatisch verlassen.
b) Fein-Tuning der TV-Sender
Der TV-Tuner verfügt über die sog. "AFT"-Funktion (Auto-Fine-Tuning). Dabei wird jeder Sender automatisch ideal eingestellt, bei gut-
em Empfang (z.B. per Kabelanschluss) ist deshalb kein Fein-Tuning der empfangenen Sender erforderlich!
Haben Sie jedoch nur eine einfache Dach- oder gar Zimmerantenne, so kann die Bild-/Ton-Qualität des empfangenen Senders über
das manuelle Fein-Tuning verbessert werden.
Wenn Sie die Sender nicht bereits beim manuellen Einstellen mit dem Fein-Tuning ideal eingestellt haben, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Taste "MENU" auf der Fernbedienung (32) oder dem Gerät (F) drücken
Mit den Tasten "VOL " bzw. "VOL " die Einstelloption "TUNE" auswählen
Taste "CH " oder "CH " drücken
Taste "CH " bzw. "CH " so oft drücken, bis "FINE TUNE" erscheint
Taste "VOL " bzw. "VOL " drücken
Mit den Tasten "VOL " bzw. "VOL " die Kanaleinstellung verändern
Kurz warten, bis die Einstell-Optionen erscheinen
Mit den Tasten "CH " bzw. "CH " die Einstelloption "STORE" auswählen
Mit Taste "VOL " bzw. "VOL " die Einstellung speichern
Drücken Sie zum Verlassen der Einstellung die Taste "MENU" auf Fernbedienung oder Gerät.

c) Timer

Das Gerät kann sich zu einer bestimmten Uhrzeit selbst ein- und ausschalten. Damit kann man sich z.B. am nächsten Tag wecken las-
sen.
Gehen Sie zum Aktivieren des Timers wie folgt vor:
Taste "MENU" auf der Fernbedienung (32) oder dem Gerät (F) drücken
Mit den Tasten "VOL " bzw. "VOL " die Einstelloption "TIMER" auswählen
Taste "CH " oder "CH " drücken

j) A-B repeat-function, "REPEAT A-B" (45) key
This function helps in marking two scenes in the film. The film scene between them will then be replayed again and again (from point A
to point B).
Press the "REPEAT A-B" (45) key while the film is running and a few seconds later once again, for instance.
The film scene marked between the two pressings of the key will now be replayed again and again.
A faded-in message shows you that the repeat function is turned on.
In order to switch off the repeat function press the key "REPEAT A-B" once again, so that the faded-in message disappears.
k) Selecting DVD chapters directly
You may directly select the chapters via the keys 0-9 and the "+10" key of the remote control unit (7) rather than moving them along
individually with a great effort, using the skip keys.
After the key has been pressed a number of the chapter appears (e.g. by pressing the "5" key the "CHAPTER 05/17" message will
appear) and the corresponding chapter will be replayed.
For replaying a chapter number which is bigger than 10, press the "+10" key (possibly repeatedly) and then one of the 0-9 numeral
keys for the next number.
The faded-in message disappears and the chapter you selected will be replayed.
l) Zoom-function, "ZOOM" (41) key
Press the key several times to select the desired zoom level, the respective enlargement level will be faded in.
By using the four direction keys ", " ", " "and " the shown display detail can be selected.
To return to the normal picture, press the key as often until the faded in enlargement level disappears.
Pressing the "ZOOM" key anew will turn off the zoom mode.
m) Mark function, "MARK" (3) key
You may use this function to mark a maximum of 12 scenes of the DVD which is inserted, which then can be directly skipped in order
to replay them.
• Mark the film scene
Press the "MARK" key of the remote control unit (3) while the film is running.
The following faded-in message appears:

By using the arrow keys " ", " ", " "and " " select one of the small boxes. Then press the "PLAY" key of the remote control (34)
in order to store the film scene.
In the selected box a number will now appear which shows you that the memory is occupied.
Under the boxes information on the marked film scene will appear.
The abbreviations mean the following: "TT" = title number, "CH" = chapter number, "TIME" = time position

Press the "MARK" key anew to make the faded-in message disappear.
• Replay the stored film scenes
To replay the scene which was stored, press the "MARK" key, select the desired memory by means of the arrow keys " ", " ",
" "and " " of one of the 12 assigned boxes, then press the "PLAY" key.
The faded-in message disappears automatically.
• Erase a film scene
Press the "MARK" key to make the faded-in message appear. Select the stored scene by using the arrow keys " ", " ", " "and
" " and press the "CLEAR" key of the remote control unit (10).
