4. Safety Notices

The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-com-
pliance with the operating instructions. We will not assume any responsibility for
consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty will lapse in
such cases.
• The system components must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE
approval will become void, but also the warranty.
• Make sure that the surveillance camera and mains adapter are sufficiently venti-
lated. Never operate the system components when they are covered.
• The system components may not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, moisture, intense vibration or heavy mechanical strain. This could lead to
malfunction or a defect.
• The operation of this camera is no substitute for your responsibility to supervise
children or other people in need of special care. It only serves as a support.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the system components require a certain time
to stabilise and adjust to the ambient temperature before they can be operated.
• The system components are no toys and should be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren!
• Please contact a qualified expert if you are not sure about the safety or the correct
use of the system components.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foil / bags etc. can
become a dangerous toy for children; there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-
nect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible damage,
- the unit does not operate any longer and
- the product has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of
time
or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• Never operate the product near any medical devices (e.g. pacemakers).
• The supplied power pack unit corresponds to protection class II. They may only
be connected to a standard wall outlet.
• The plug-in power unit may never be plugged in or taken out with wet hands.
• Never pull on the cable of the wall power supply. Always unplug it by pulling out
the housing.
