General description:
The PROFIBUS-DP communication board (PROFIBUS optional board) is to provide a PROFIBUS-
DP-based link between drives of the MICROMASTER 4 product range and higher-level automation
systems.

Anschaltung von Antrieben der Gerätereihe MICROMASTER 4 an übergeordnete
Automatisierungssysteme über PROFIBUS-DP.
To display information about the current operating state, the communication board has a 3-color
LED (green, orange, red). The communication board voltage is supplied via the inverter system
connector. Alternatively, an external 24 V connection can supply the voltage for the PROFIBUS
optional board and inverter electronics. The board is connected to the PROFIBUS system via bus
connector complying with the PROFIBUS standard. All connections to this RS485 interface are
short-circuit-proof and isolated. The PROFIBUS optional board supports baud rates of 9.6 kbaud to
12 MBaud. Fiber optics can be connected using Optical Link Plugs (OLPs) or Optical Link Modules
(OLMs).
Zur Information über den aktuellen Betriebszustand verfügt die Kommunikationsbaugruppe über
eine dreifarbige LED (grün, orange, rot). Die Spannungsversorgung erfolgt über den Systemstecker
vom Umrichter. Ein externer 24-Volt-Anschluss dient zur Spannungsversorgung der PROFIBUS-
Optionsbaugruppe und der Umrichterelektronik. Der Anschluss an das PROFIBUS-System erfolgt
über eine 9-polige Sub-D-Buchse nach PROFIBUS-Norm. Alle Anschlüsse dieser RS485-
Schnittstelle sind kurzschlussfest und potenzialgetrennt. Die PROFIBUS-Optionsbaugruppe
unterstützt Baudraten von 9,6 kBaud bis 12 MBaud. Ein Anschluss von LWL kann über Optical Link
Plugs (OLPs) oder Optical Link Moduls (OLMs) erfolgen.
