1. Turn the central vacuum unit off and disconnect the
power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Open the latches on the central vacuum unit,
remove the waste container and put it underneath
the central vacuum unit (refer to Fig. 9).
3. Loosen and unscrew the self-locking wing nut from
the threaded rod guide.
4. Pull the cartridge filter downwards.

5. Place the cleaned cartridge filter or a replacement
on the threaded rod guide.
6. Secure the cartridge filter with the self-locking wing
nut. Hand tighten the wing nut.
7. Replace the emptied waste container on the
housing and secure it by refastening the latches.
Replacing the Carbon Brushes

- Only allow an electrician to carry out maintenance
work.

Replace the carbon brushes annually or if they are
severely worn.
1. Turn the central vacuum unit off and disconnect the
power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Loosen the Allen screws on the sound insulation
housing.
3. Remove the sound insulation housing.

4. Loosen the four Phillips head screws to remove the
motor housing (refer to Fig. 11).
5. Remove the cable terminal.
6. Pull the carbon brushes off from the side (refer to
Fig. 12).

7. Replace and refasten the carbon brushes.
8. Reassemble the unit in the reverse order.
