How to Conduct in the Event of
Burns
- Leave the house immediately with all persons. Take
children and elderly people in particular consideration.
- With strong development of smoke in rooms or aisles
leave the building close to the floor (crawling). Breath
through damp cloths.
- Call the fire brigade from the neighbouring building.
- Do not return into the house until the fire brigade
allows doing so.
Maintenance/ False Alarm
Apart from the weekly self test and cleaning once in a
while the smoke alarm is absolutely maintenance free.
For cleaning use a damp, soft cloth and no cleansing
agent or use a Hoover and clean the outside of the smoke
chamber carefully with a brush to remove dust particles.
It is not necessary to open the casing for doing so.
Water steam or dust may lead to false alarms. In the
event of a false alarm check whether there is no source
of fire. Do not remove the battery from the smoke alarm.

Prescribed Use

The photoelectric smoke alarm GS- (tested safety) and
VdS- (property assurance association) tested and
ensures high quality and reliability. The smoke alarm
functions according to the principle of light scatter and
recognises even the smallest amount of smoke partic-
ulates which enter the casing of the smoke alarm.
The product should only be used indoors where protect-
ed from moisture and dust and where no natural steam
or smoke forms (e.g. in the kitchen, open fire).
The smoke alarm serves for the immediate recognition
of developing smoke in private living and bedrooms and
sends off a loud acoustic signal for warning the inhabi-
tants as soon as possible.
At the same time a flashing red light diode will signal
the active smoke alarm. The function of the smoke
alarm has to be tested at least once a week to ensure
the best possible operating safety. A display for the
