with the screws supplied. Use a suitable screw driver.
In case you wish to mount the smoke alarm on a stone
wall please drill the corresponding holes with a 5.5mm
drill and use the supplied plastic dowels.
Caution!
Before drilling make sure that no lines or cables are in
the area of drilling.
Inserting/ Exchanging the Battery
Operation requires a 9V compound
battery.
For initial operation do as follows:
- Connect a new 9V compound battery with correct
polarity to the battery clip and insert the battery in the
battery chamber of the smoke alarm.

Use the mounting plate as
drilling stencil and mark the
drilling holes.
Fasten the mounting plate
- Now put the smoke alarm with the serrations in the
right way onto the mounting plate and turn it by 10°
and under slight pressure clockwise until it locks into
place.
Caution! The smoke alarm can only be put together in
this angle. Do not force it into place.
If the exchange of batteries becomes necessary this is
signalled by a short acoustic warning signal ("Chirping")
which is repeated each 30 – 40 sec.
Please exchange the battery now within 7 days to
ensure reliability.
For exchanging the battery do as follows:
- Remove the smoke alarm from the mounting plate by
turning it by app. 10° counter clockwise.
- Remove the battery and replace it by a new one of the
same type.
- Place the smoke alarm on the mounting plate and
turn it by 10° clockwise until it locks into place.
The serrations of the mounting plate can only lock into
place when placed on the grooves at the side of the
smoke alarm.
