The charger is designed in compliance with protection class II (double insulation). Ensure that the insulation
(of the housing or the output cable) is neither damaged nor destroyed.
Chargers and accessories should be kept out of the reach of children! It is not a toy.
In schools, training centres, computer and self-help workshops, the use of chargers and accessories must
be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
Avoid charging operation under adverse ambient conditions. These can lead to damage to the sensitive
electronics on the inside of the charger and thus to possible danger for the life of the user. Adverse ambient
conditions are:
- excessive humidity (> 75 % relative, condensing)
- wetness and dampness, petrol
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- excessive ambient temperature (> approx. +40°C)
When charging accumulators, always observe the charging regulations of the accumulator manufacturer
concerned.
In the case of incorrect handling (excessive charging current or incorrect polarity), the accumulator can be
overcharged or destroyed. In the worst case, the accumulator can explode and in doing so cause apprecia-
ble damage.
Never touch the charger with wet or moist hands. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock!
Never unplug the plug-in power unit from the mains socket by the connecting cable! Only hold it by the hou-
sing when disconnecting it.
The charger is only licensed for operation on sockets with alternating current customary in the household
230 V~/ 50 Hz and in dry rooms.
Keep transmitting devices (mobile telephone, transmitting systems for model construction etc.) away from
chargers as the transmitter radiation arising can lead to interference in charging operation or to destruction
of the charger and thus the accumulator.
Never connect your charger to the mains voltage immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a
warm one. The resulting condensation could, under adverse circumstances, destroy the device. Allow the
device to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply.
Remove the batteries/accumulators if the device is not used for longer periods of time to prevent leaking.
Leaking or damaged batteries/accumulators can cause burning if they come into contact with the skin. Use
suitable protective gloves in this case.
Make sure that the batteries/accumulators are not short-circuited. Do not throw batteries/accumulators into
fire.
Batteries may not be re-charged. Risk of explosion!
When operating a model aeroplane, you are responsible for your actions and any consequences. For this
reason, we recommend taking out a private liability insurance or a special model aeroplane insurance.
For this, here is the contact address for the Modellfliegerverband e.V., Rochusstr.. 104 – 106, 53123 Bonn.
Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. Plastic foil and/or bags and polystyrene parts
etc. can become dangerous toys in the hands of children.
If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of operation
immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer
possible if:
- the device shows visible signs of damage,
- the device no longer functions and
- after longer storage under unfavourable conditions or
-following heavy stress during transportation.
Remote-controlled model aeroplanes are not toys! For this reason, children and young people should
always be supervised by adults when operating their models.
