The time can be displayed in 12 or 24-hour mode. AM or PM is displayed
in 12-hour mode.

In the display and touch tone menu you can switch on or off the the lighting
for the display as well as the touch tones.
The lighting can be set within a range of levels (10 - 100%). The factory
setting is 100%
