- Place the UV insect vacuum at a height of approximately 80 - 120 cm from the fl oor to ensure
that the device does not coincide with other light sources.
- To clean the collection container, move the lever (3) to the "off" position and unplug the mains
plug from the mains socket.
- The carrier handle (1) means the UV insect vacuum can be transported easily to any location.
- Turn the collection container (9) slightly to the left (symbol open lock) to clean the collection
container or to free the captured insects. You can then remove the funnel holder and empty
the collection container completely.
- To insert the collection container in the UV insect vacuum, turn it to the right (symbol closed
lock).
Do not use the UV insect vacuum in barns, stables or similar places. Fire
hazard! Before cleaning and maintenance of the UV insect vacuum, always
ensure that the device is disconnected from the mains voltage by unplugging
the mains plug.
When removing the collecting container, please make sure that the plug is
pulled out and the fan is no longer running. Otherwise there is danger of
injury!

Maintenance and Care

Clean the collection container as described in the section "Getting Started". The UV insect
vacuum does not require any other maintenance. The outside should only be cleaned with a
soft, dry cloth or a brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as they could damage the surface
of the case.
Replacing the UV bulb
- Turn the collection container (9) slightly to the left and remove it.
- Unfasten the 4 screws on the bottom of the fan (7) using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Remove the fan.
- Open the fastenings for the UV bulb using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Take out the defective UV bulb and replace it with a new one (a replacement UV bulb is
enclosed on delivery).
- Then reinsert the screws in reverse order.
- Close the collection container by turning it to the right.
Please be careful when pulling out the UV bulb so that it does not break. If it
does there could be the risk of injury!
Disposal

Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
