5. Installation and Connection

The camera, receiver and the plug in mains power unit provided are
suitable for operation in dry, closed rooms only.
Find a suitable place for mounting from which the area to be monitored can be observed.
A suitable place for installation of this camera has the following features:
• Vibration-free
• No direct sunlight
• Dry interior room
• As free from dust as possible
Select a place for mounting which is not shielded by, for example,
reinforced concrete walls, metal-backed mirrors or metal shelves.
There should be no devices with strong electrical fields, such as
mobile telephones, radios or electrical motors, close to the device.
This may affect the signal transmission.
The above-mentioned occurrences can disturb the radio signal transmission appreciably
or limit its range.
Set up the receiver close to the surveillance monitor or television set, but not directly on
the surveillance monitor itself. This can potentially have a significant influence the signal
range.
5.1 Installation of the Wireless Camera
None of the connecting cables should be bent or squashed. This
can result on malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling holes in the
wall or bolting the unit in place.
