• The multi-compass has to be operated horizontally. For
this reason, a small mini bubble level is built into it (sim-
ilar to a spirit level). The small air bubble in the bubble
level has to lie exactly within the circle.
• In case of very strong disturbance (magnetic or electric
fields, shielding from buildings etc.), it can happen that
no compass display appears. Move away from the cause
of the disturbance.
The multi-compass should therefore be operated
primarily in the open-air. Make sure that it does
not become damp or wet (e.g. in the rain).
Observe the safety instructions and the section
"handling".
Activate the compass display by pressing the button "COM-
PASS ON/OFF" (E) briefly.

his functions in the operating modes time, date,
alarm, altimeter and barometer.
If the compass display is switched off (when the
compass display is no longer required), the ser-
vice life of the batteries is extended..
The numeric direction display follows in 5°-steps from 0° to
355°.
The display of the compass rosette follows in 22.5° steps.
For the cardinal points, there is a corresponding fade-in (N,
NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW; 45° steps).

Please observe:
The buttons on the front and the rear of the multi-
compass are in some cases allocated more than
once. Depending on the activated operating mode,
the buttons therefore have different functions. The
labelling on the multi-compass is multicoloured to
simplify operation.
