a) General
As mentioned there, the multi-compass uses a pressure
sensor for measuring height which measures the air pres-
sure of the environment. As the air pressure changes con-
stantly, the display deviates from the actual height.

If you are located at a point of a known height (e.g. at the
starting point of a wandering, height stated on a map, e.g.
"400 m"), the multi-compass will presumably display a dif-
ferent value (e.g. "410m"). The next day, a value of "390m"
could be displayed because the air pressure has changed in
the meantime.

Therefore, before commencing your wandering, set a refer-
ence value (see section 7, h) if you know the actual height
at the starting point of the wandering.

This will mean that the exactitude of the subsequent display
or alteration in height is improve
For programming, observe section 7. h).

Please observe:
Changes in the air pressure during measuring
lead to the fact that the display of the height can
deviate from the actual height. The altimeter of
the multi-compass is e not suitable for measure-
ments for which the exactitude of the height is
critical!
