10. Operation

Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these operating instruc-
tions.
Check all the connections again.
a) Basic Operation
• Push the VOLUME/POWER (4) controller to switch the device on or off.
• The STANDBY (2) display lights up when the device is switched off.
• Select a playback source by pushing the button FUNCTION (5). This button selects all playback sources in se-
quence.
If there is no medium in the USB-interface (12) or the SD card reader (13), these playback sources will be
skipped.
• Adjust the playback volume by turning the VOLUME/POWER (4) controller.
When no audio signal is played back for more than 10 minutes in the operating modes Cassette, Phono,
AUX IN, USB or SD, the device will switch to standby mode automatically to save energy.
b) Setting the Time
• With the device in standby mode (display STANDBY (2) must be lit), push the MODE/CLOCK (8) button. The indica-
tion 12H or 24H in the display flashes.
