Description
The RB2016 is a card with 18 relay outputs to interface the
FP2000 Series Fire Panels to external devices. The card is
delivered with the necessary washers, nuts and spacers to
allow for proper mounting.

Installation
The RB2016 card plugs directly into the bus (FEP, Loop
Driver) positioned in the rear of the cabinet and is mounted in
position using the hardware supplied with the card.
To install the card:
1.
Disconnect all power (mains and batteries).
2.
Set jumpers - if necessary. [1]
3.
Mount the RB2016. Pay attention to the arrangement of
the nuts, bolts and spacers.
4.
Connect the outputs as required. [1]
5.
Connect power.
6.
Reconfigure the fire panel. [2]
Outputs are numbered 1 to 18. One jumper is provided for
outputs 1 to 8 and two sets of jumpers for outputs 9 to 18.
Refer to Figure 2 for outputs 1 to 8 and Figure 3 for outputs 9
to 18.

Fail-Safe Fault Output
When the fault jumper (J222) has been removed, the fault
output is fail-safe. This means that when the fault line has been
activated the fault relay (output 17) will fall out (change state).
When the fault jumper (J222) has been inserted the fault
output is not fail-safe. This means that when the fault line has
been activated the fault relay (output 17) will not fall out
(change state). In this state, the fault output can be used as a
normal relay output.

Board Layout
Figure 4 is the top layout of the RB2016. To avoid confusion,
ensure that the PC-board number with revision level
(0738-2B), on the left-hand side, coincides with the number in
Figure 4 on this leaflet.
Refer to Figure 4 for the specific positions of the jumpers and
the relays.
