3. Mounting
Switch off the vehicle before starting the installation.
Remove the frame with the attached components by
loosening the screw shown in fig. 1. Note that there
may be an additional screw located between the gear-
box and the trailer socket.
Unmount the air reservoir (fig. 2).
Note: The air reservoir may be glued in place. In this
case, simply break it off at the mounting bracket and
carefully drill out the remaining parts of the bracket
from the PCB using a 1.0 mm drill bit (fig. 3).
Before inserting the circuit board, you must first reas-
semble the frame and structural components.
Secure the housing of the retrofit sound kit using two
screws from bag A (fig. 4).
Rotate the circuit board so that the four pins face the
underside of the vehicle and insert it into the 4-pin
socket (fig. 5). The screw hole serves as positioning
aid (fig. 6)
Caution! If all pins are not correctly inserted into the
socket, the circuit board may be damaged.
Fasten the circuit board using the screw from bag B
(fig. 7).
4. Operation
Make sure that your vehicle has firmware version 1.44
or newer is installed.
When the vehicle is powered on, the engine sound is
activated in its factory default state. This sound can be
permanently deactivated either using button 7 on the
remote control or via the CarManager.
4.1 Operation via remote control
The sounds can be controlled using the remote control:
Activating/Deactivating volume mode
Volume buttons: 7 + 9
The setup mode is indicated by the flashing
of the main headlights.
Toggles the engine sound
In volume mode (can be enabled via the
menu button), the volume is reduced
Activates the horn as a short signal.
Activates the siren.
In volume mode (can be enabled via the
menu button), the volume is increased.
Note: Remote control commands 7 (engine sound)
and 9 (siren) are continuous commands. This means
that if the sound is toggled on or off via the remote
control, the vehicle will retain this setting even after
being powered off.
4.2 Operation via magnetic sequence, DCC
or infrared command
Sound control can also be performed using magnet-
ic sequences, DCC or infrared commands. To enable
this functionality, configuration within the CarManager
software is required. Please refer to the CarManag-
er documentation for available configuration options.
Additionally, you have the option to enable situational
sounds via the CarManager. Depending on the traffic
scenario, appropriate driver comments or horn signals
are automatically played to enhance the realism of the
driving experience.

Bedienungsanleitung
1. Wichtige Hinweise
Bitte lesen Sie vor der ersten Anwendung des Produk-
tes bzw. dessen Einbau diese Bedienungsanleitung
aufmerksam durch. Bewahren Sie diese auf, sie ist
Teil des Produktes.
1.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Verletzungsgefahr!
Aufgrund der vorgesehenen Verwendung kann das
Produkt Spitzen, Kanten und abbruchgefährdete
Teile aufweisen.
Zerstörungsgefahr!
Achten Sie darauf, dass die 4 Pins der Platine kor-
rekt in der dafür vorgesehenen Buchse stecken,
ansonsten können beide Platinen zerstört werden.
1.2 Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Dieses Produkt ist bestimmt:
- Zum Einbau in CarMotion Modellfahrzeuge vom
Typ MAGIRUS Eckhauber der Spurgröße H0.
- Zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als nicht
bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultierende Schä-
den haftet der Hersteller nicht.
1.3 Packungsinhalt überprüfen
Kontrollieren Sie den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit:
- Nachrüst-Set Sound für MAGIRUS Eckhauber
- 5 Schrauben, sortiert in zwei Tüten, als Tüte „A"
und „B" gekennzeichnet.

2. Einführung
Bereichern Sie Ihre CarMotion-Anlage mit Sound in
den Fahrzeugen. Die nachrüstbaren Soundmodule
sind fahrzeugspezifisch und daher mechanisch, farb-
lich und akustisch an die jeweiligen Typen angepasst.
Sie spielen Motorgeräusche vom Starten und Stop-
pen des Motors sowie diverse fahrsituative Geräu-
sche wie Schaltvorgänge, Bremsenquietschen und
auch Rückfahrwarnsignal ab. Hupe und Martinshorn
sind schaltbar.
Der Motorsound ist in der Lautstärke einstellbar. Die
schaltbaren bzw. einstellbaren Sounds lassen sich per
Fernbedienung, DCC-Befehl oder per Infrarotbefehl
bzw. Magnetfolge betätigen.
Die Platine des Soundmoduls wird einfach mittels
eines vierpoligen Steckers mit der Fahrzeugplatine ver-
bunden und verschraubt. Die bisherigen linksseitigen
Anbauteile wie Auspuff, Lufttanks usw. werden durch
die neuen Anbauteile, die den Lautsprecher enthalten,
ersetzt. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Fahrzeuge ohne die
vierpolige Erweiterungsbuchse nicht mit einem Sound-
modul ausgestattet werden können.
3. Einbau
Schalten Sie das Fahrzeug vor dem Einbau ab.
Entfernen Sie den Rahmen mit den Aufbauten, lösen
Sie dazu die Schraube aus Abb. 1. Es kann auch eine
zusätzliche Schraube zwischen dem Getriebe und der
Anhängerbuchse geben.
Demontieren Sie den Luftkessel (Abb. 2).

Hinweis: Der Luftkessel kann verklebt sein, in diesem
Fall brechen Sie ihn einfach an der Halterung ab und
bohren die Reste der Halterung vorsichtig mit einem
Ho/Kf
1,0 mm Bohrer aus der Platine heraus (Abb. 3).
