5. Use

CAUTION
Risk of injury due to improper use.
►Use the product in accordance with its in-
tended use, see chapter „1.2 Use as inten-
ded" on page 12.
►Secure the product when using it in vehic-
les and when camping.
NOTICE
Material damage due to incorrect use.
►Check that the device is intact and
complete before use.
►Do not operate the appliance in the vi-
cinity of flammable objects.
►Do not leave the appliance unatten-
ded during operation.
►Keep the lid closed during operation.
►Do not operate any electrical devices
in the cool box.

5.1 First commissioning

1. Remove all film and paper inserts before first
use.
2. Clean the appliance with a little washing-up li-
quid in water and a cloth before using it for the
first time.
3. Then allow the cool box to dry completely.
4. To open the cool box, pull the handle forward.
Note: The duration of cooling depends on the am-
bient temperature and the filling quantity.
►You can use the cool box in ECO or MAX mode.
►If you want to change the mode, switch the de-
vice off and wait 30 minutes before changing
the mode.
►The device may only be operated in ECO
mode when it is connected to a 220-240V so-
cket, as the power is already reduced when
operating on 12V.
►In ECO energy-saving mode, the power is re-
duced.

5.2 Energy-saving tips for efficient cooling

►Operate the device in a well-ventilated place
protected from the sun.
►Use the cooling device's ECO mode for parti-
cularly energy-efficient operation.
►Allow hot food to cool down before putting it
in the cool box.
►Do not open the cool box more often or for
longer than necessary.
Note: For hygienic and cleaning reasons, use sui-
table containers for loose food such as meat,
cheese, etc.

5.3 Selecting the mode

►Slide the switch to the 'HOT' position to select
the warming mode.
► The status light will turn red.
►Slide the switch to the 'COLD' position to select
the cooling mode.
► The status light will turn green.
►Slide the switch to 'OFF' to switch off the cool
box.
►Slide the switch to 'ECO' to operate the cool
box in the selected mode in an energy-saving
manner.
►Slide the switch to 'MAX' to operate the cool
box at full power in the selected mode.

5.4 Decommissioning

12 V operation
►Unplug the 12 V connector from the socket.
220–240 V operation
1. Switch off the device at the end of each use.
2. Unplug the mains plug from the socket.
3. Allow the device to cool down completely.
4. Clean the product as described.

6. Transport

WARNING
Danger to life due to electric shock.
►Disconnect the mains plug from the so-
cket before transporting the appliance.
►Transport the product upright.
►Place the product carefully on the floor
and do not drop it.
►Do not disassemble the product.
