Warnings

We recommend arranging an internet connection to allow remote support service in case of need and
a dedicated power supply line (UPS). We also recommend periodically checking for software updates
in order to enjoy the best performance and ensure proper operation. Updates are available via the
technical support network.
2) Reference standards
The product complies with the following directives or reference standards:
• RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU
• Regulation (EC) REACh No. 1907/2006 For the services
• EN 62820-1-2:2017 Building intercom systems - Part 1-2: System requirements – Building
intercom systems using the Internet Protocol (IP). They also comply with the following directives and
regulations:
• Directive 2014/53/EU (RED) (only where applicable): The full text of the EU Declaration of
Conformity is available at the following Internet address: www.ave.it
• RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU;
• Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 REACH; The manufacturer, AVE SPA, declares that the radio
equipment complies with 2014/53/EU Directive. The full text of the EU Declaration of Conformity is

3) Installation
Install the product on a flat surface. Install the support brackets (supplied) and connect the intercom
receiver using the cable supplied.
When installing the product, please refer to the following instructions:
• Do not block or obstruct the vents and openings in the product
• Avoid installation in places subject to sudden changes in temperature and humidity and in places
with a lot of dust.
• Keep the product away from direct sunlight, from sources of bright light (which compromise the
good visibility of the LCD display) or from heat sources.
4) Configuration menu
On the home page of the device, a configuration menu can be accessed by pressing the button with
three lines located in the top left corner of the screen.
The following operations can be performed from the menu:
• Muting: to disable the audio and microphone of the device. A red loudspeaker icon in the top
left corner of the display indicates that the mute function is active;
• Cleaning: to activate the device's screen cleaning function. With the cleaning function active, the
touch screen is disabled for 30 seconds, after which all functionality is restored.
• Lock Screen: by pressing the button, if the function has been enabled in the "Display"
configuration menu, the touch screen is locked and it is necessary to enter the password (default
666666) to unlock it. If an incorrect password is entered three times in a row, no further entries can
be made for 60 seconds.
• Restart: to restart the device.
• Video intercom: access to the configuration menu of the video intercom part of the device. The
meaning of the parameters is given in the appropriate section of this manual.
• Display: to access the configuration menu of the device display
• Brightness: move the slider to the left to decrease the brightness of the display, and to the tight
to increase the brightness.
• Configuration: access to the advanced parameters of the device.
• Volume: move the slider to the left to decrease the volume of the device, and to the right to
increase it.
Note: in the configuration menu, access to the submenus containing the most critical parameters is
protected by a password.
5) Meaning of the parameters of the configuration menu
When the system configuration menu is accessed from the drop-down menu on the home page, all
the parameters of the device are displayed:
5.1) Date and time
Menu for setting the date and time of the device. The date and time can be set manually or, if the
device is connected to the Internet, they can be updated automatically. Automatic updating of date
and time inhibits manual configuration.
• Automatic synchronisation: if the device is connected to the internet, the date and time are
synchronised automatically.
• Daylight saving time: if activated, the device will automatically switch from daylight saving time to
summer time and vice versa.
• NTP Server: server from which the time is read automatically (do not change the setting).
• Time zone: time zone of the place where the device is installed.
• 12-hour format: time displayed by the device in a 12-hour or 24-hour format.
5.2) Language
Menu for system language configuration. Choose the desired language and return to the home page
via the EXIT button.
5.3) Display
Display settings configuration page .
• Brightness: move the slider to the left to decrease the display brightness, and to the right to
increase the display brightness.
• Graphical user interface: parameters to modify the user interface.
• Theme: the parameter allows to change the theme of the user interface. There are 4 different
themes available that change the colour of the monitor and icons while leaving their functions
unchanged.
• Screensaver: selection of the screensaver image used by the device.
• The screensaver is activated after (sec): number of seconds after which the screensaver
is activated. Press the "+" and "-" buttons to increase or decrease the time.
• The screen switches off after (min): number of seconds after which the device screen is
switched off. Seconds are counted from when the screensaver is switched on.
• Screen Lock with Password: activation of the screen lock function at the same time as the
screensaver. The screen lock function requires the user to enter a password to unlock the device (the
password must be set in the relevant menu below).
5.4) Audio
Configuration of sound signals emitted by the device.
For all parameters it is possible to increase or decrease the volume of the signal by moving the
corresponding slider to the left (decrease volume) or to the right (increase volume).
• Outdoor station: press the "+" and "-" buttons to select from the ten available ringtones the
one that will be emitted when a call is received from the outdoor station.
• Other: press the "+" and "-" buttons to select the ringtone used by the device for every other
alarm signal.
• Voice call: volume of the conversation when calling from the outdoor station.
• Click on screen: activation of the triggering of a click when the buttons on the screen are
pressed.
Error tone if LAN cable is disconnected: activation of a sound if the cable connecting the
device to the data network is disconnected. This function should only be activated in specific cases
where it is necessary to debug the data network functionality and only on request from AVE technical
support.
5.5) Video intercom
Settings of the device' s video intercom functions.
• Automatic image capture: automatic capture of the image sent by the outdoor station when
a call is received.
