Never exceed the roof load
The roof load specified by the manufacturer has been calculated
for driving, exceeding it will a ect the driving behavior and is life-
threatening. If in doubt, contact your dealership. If the vehicle is
stationary, higher loads are not a problem. With a folding tent, the
load is split 50-50 between the roof rack and the ladder; with a hard-
shell tent, the load is split 100 % between the roof racks. This means
that the roof tent can easily bear a load of 250 kg when it is set up.
Driving characteristics
Once you have mounted the roof tent on the vehicle, the first thing
you need to do is familiarize yourself with the changed driving
characteristics. The braking distance will be longer and the vehicle
will no longer be as agile as before. Especially with higher vehicles,
rocking movements can occur. Crosswinds also play a greater role. We
recommend a maximum speed of 100 km/h. Exceeding 120 km/h can
result in damage to the cover. Please also note that fuel consumption
will be higher; at moderate speeds, you will protect your vehicle and
the environment.
Vehicle height
Measure your new vehicle height and attach it so that you can easily
read it while driving.
Check before departure
Before and after the journey, check that the horntools
attached to the roof rack, as well as the roof rack to the vehicle.

Where do I set up my roof tent?
Always look for a spot that is as windless as possible. In windy
conditions, the tent must be braced with the ropes pointing
downwards. Position the car so that your tent structures are not
directly in the wind; your vehicle can serve as a shield. Be careful of
trees or other objects that could fall onto the tent in a storm. In the
event of rain, make sure that no water pockets can form.
