3 - PRELIMINARY CHECKS

Ensure that the surface on which the product is installed is not
flammable: it is recommended to install it on aluminum or pain-
ted steel sheet.
ght is not covered by thermally insulating or flammable material.
Verify that the metal plate hosting the spotlight has a thickness (s) betwe-
en 1 and 12 mm.
Ensure that
led has a depth (D) of at least 30 mm, and that the area around
the spotlight, in the direction of the spring opening (W), is cle-
ar for at least 65 mm to allow for proper spring fastening (fig. 4a).
Prepare a square hole on the installation metal surface, with a side of
24.6 ± 0.1 mm and an angle radius, if present, not exceeding 4 mm (fig.
4b). Ensure that the edges of the hole are burr-free to avoid damaging the
spotlight or associated wiring.
Make sure that the power supply wiring has an appropriate cross-section
for the current passing through it, and in any case, is not less than
0.4 mm² (AWG 21).
