Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning always unplug the
1
hair-drier from the mains supply!
0 You can clean your appliance with a
damp cloth. But do not immerse the
appliance in water or in other liquids!
0 The hair-drier should be protected
from dust. When necessary, clean the
air inlet and outlet grills gently using
an soft brush.
SanaFilter
The hair-drier is equipped with Sana-
Filter, a special replaceable filter that
purifies intake air up to 99.9% (effi-
ciency for particles >3 µm - see Fig. 8
graphic).
Spare SanaFilters are available at your
3
dealer.
Warning:
• Never use the hair-drier without Sana-
Filter so as not to jeopardize the proper
operation of the device.
• Never wash SanaFilter with water or
other detergent, as this will remove the
electrostatic charge of the fibers,
thereby deteriorating the filter proper-
ties of the material. Replace the dirty
filter.
Do not disassemble the filter while the
1
hair-drier is operating.
The dirty filter being replaced should
3
be discarded with other waste accord-
ing to local regulations.
Notes when replacing SanaFilter
Repacement of SanaFilter is recom-
mended when it is clogged with pollut-
ants. To check the degree of clogging
of the filter, it is possible to inspect the
filter by looking through the windows
provided.
It is recommended to replace the Sana-
Filter when a loss of hair-drier per-
formance is observed and also after a
period of 6 to 12 months according to
the frequency of use of the hair-drier:
• every 6 months for frequent use (every
day).
• every 12 months for average use
(3 times per week).
To better check the period that Sana-
Filter is used, the SanaFOEN® hair-drier
is equipped with a calendar function
(see below).
How to replace SanaFilter:
0 Remove the rear grill (see Fig. 2) by
turning it counterclockwise until the
arrows are facing each other.
0 Remove the filter to be replaced (see
Fig. 3)
0 Position the new filter by aligning its
tab with the corresponding groove as
shown in Fig. 4.
0 Reposition the rear grill as shown in
Fig. 5 by aligning the
by turning it clockwise until the
arrows are facing each other again.
0 Set the calendar so that it shows the
month when the last filter replacement
has been carried out (see Fig. 6).
Calendar
The SanaFOEN® hair-drier is equipped
with this device as an easy reminder
when the last SanaFilter was replaced.
0 To set the calendar, turn it using a coin
and position the number correspond-
ing to the month of the last filter
replacement (e.g. 1= January; 2= Feb-
ruary; 3...) according to the indicator
placed on the grill.
