5. INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENTS
5.1. INSTALLATION O THE HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC ON A
HEELCHAIR
To anchor a HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC to a wheelchair, you must rst install a
BATEC DOCKING-BAR (pat. pending). The BATEC DOCKING-BAR can be installed
on most wheelchairs on the market, whether xed or olding rame.
IMPORTANT!
An updated list o wheelchairs compatible with the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC is
available in the support section of the BATEC MOBILITY website.
The HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC must be installed on a wheelchair by a uali ed
pro essional authorised by BATEC MOBILITY. Contact BATEC MOBILITY to nd the
authorised installation professional closest to you.
5.2. SER AD STMENTS
Once the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC is properly installed on the wheelchair,
there are several ad ustments that must be made in order to t the HANDBIKE
BATEC ELECTRIC to the user's level o mobility, type o disability and si e.
These ad ustments can be done easily with the tools and instructions provided
with the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC and basic mechanical knowledge.
The ollowing ad ustments can be made:
– Adjusting the distance between the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC and the
wheelchair.
– Ad usting the angle o the stem on the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC.
– Adjusting the height of the handlebar on the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC.
– Ad usting THE stem height
– LCD console ad ustments
5.2.1. AD ST THE DISTANCE BET EEN THE HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC
AND THE CHAIR
With the HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC anchored, adjust the distance between the
HANDBIKE BATEC ELECTRIC and the wheelchair so that there is as little space as
possible between the user's eet and the stand rame, using the telescopic an-
choring bar and the screws indicated. If the user doesn't have any other prefer-
ence or limitations, we recommend a distance o 8 cm. ( ee fig. 48 r 49A f r AIR)
