10. INSTALLATION AND SAFETY INFORMATION

a) Important installation information Do not bend the safety component
suspension hooks as they may break. Failure to take notice of this
warning could result in personal injury due to a falling device!
b) Every device is delivered with a wall rail for the insertion of the upper
securing hook, which is attached to the wall with two screws and which
supports the weight of the device. Two additional screw fittings (as per
the dimensions sketch with the device dimensions) must be provided for
affixing the lower tab of the device to the wall; this only serves to secure
the device against the wall and to prevent lateral movement. The lower
wall bracket has no supporting function and may therefore not be subject
to any excessive stress. Lifting and/or supporting the electrical storage
heater on the lower wall bracket is prohibited, as this strain can lead to
the wall bracket tearing off! Water heaters of a suspended construction
type must not be installed horizontally.
c) The securing hooks and therefore the suspension dimension A can be repositioned by moving
the storage tank rear wall screws into other holes of the hook 50 mm apart (only in the case of
50 - 150 litres).
The attachment hook is always to be secured to the rear wall of the tank with at least two screws.
Caution: Only fixing hooks provided by the manufacturer may be used!
If the assembly height is changed, this is to be tightened to the mounting screws with a torque of
40 - 50 Nm.
d) During installation, due attention must be paid to device dimension sketches and any information
signs that may have been supplied together with the device.
e) Caution: The weight of the water heater including the weight of the water content (the nominal
capacity) must be taken into consideration for the selection of an installation point and/or the
preparation a device mounting surface sufficient to meet the technical loading and installation
strength requirements.
f) If a water heater is fitted with covers (cladding) in narrow small spaces or in suspended ceilings and the like,
it is crucial to ensure that the connection side of the device (water connections, electrical connection room
and/or boiler room) remains freely accessible and that there is no heat accumulation. There must
be a free space of 500 mm for the dismantling of the heating flange. A space of at least 50 mm
must be left above the device so that it can be hooked into the wall rails.
g) In terms of the choice and/or sequence of installation material used on the system side (be careful
in the case of mixed installation) due consideration must be given to potential electro-chemical
processes (e.g., copper-steel contact corrosion) in accordance with good engineering practice.
We recommend the installation of insulating screw fixings.
