10.3 Setting sleep timers
Set a sleep timer to automatically lower the soldering iron tip temperature after a preset amount of time.
For sleep timers to work, the soldering iron must be in the soldering iron stand. If you pick the soldering iron up
again, the soldering iron tip heats up again to the preset temperature.

1. Press and hold the settings buttons 1 and 3 at the same time until the display shows SET.
2. Navigate to the menu entry using the settings buttons 1 and 3.
3. Use the menu selector buttons TEMP to adjust the value.

If a timer is set and the sleep time has elapsed, the display shows SLP and the soldering iron tip temperature is
lowered.
10.4 Calibrating temperature
Calibrate a temperature using temperature offsets (Δt) if you have determined that the actual soldering iron tem-
perature deviates from the displayed temperature (tD).
After you set the offset, the displayed temperature is tNew= tD + Δt.
