- Now slide the battery compartment lid back sideways
onto the housing, until the lid noticeably clicks in.
Leaking or damaged batteries might cause
acid burns when getting into contact with
skin, therefore use suitable protective
gloves in any such case.
Make sure that batteries are not short-cir-
cuited.
Never try to recharge batteries.
Do not throw batteries into fire. There is the
risk of explosion.
You should also remove batteries from the
battery compartment when you do not use
the device for a longer period of time.
Environmental note!
The end user is under legal obligation to
take back all used batteries and recharge-
able batteries (from round cell batteries to
lead rechargeable batteries), to dispose of
them via domestic waste is not permitted.

You can return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries free of charge, to
supermarkets, dealer's shops or local col-
lection centres where special collection
boxes are set up for this purpose.
You should also contribute to environmental protection.
Getting Started
Display:
On the left hand side the indoor temperature is dis-
played (IN-TEMP) and on the right hand side the outdoor
temperature (OUT-TEMP).
Further display functions are maximum value (MAX) and
minimum value (MIN).
Setting the temperature unit:
After each battery change, you have approx. 5 seconds
to select between display unit Celsius or Fahrenheit.
During these 5 seconds "°C" or "°F" blinks on the dis-
play. By pressing the "MODE" button, you can now
select between the two units.
