If the coffee is too strong and the coffee flow from the coffee
spout (9) is too slow, slightly increase the grind size. Set the
grinding adjuster knob (4) to 4. Press the «Espresso» button
and wait for the beverage to be prepared.
You will be able to evaluate the result of readjustment only
after making 2-3 cups of coffee.
ATTENTION! When using the coffee machine, only ad-
just the coffee grind size when the coffee grinder is ac-
tive. Failure to comply with this requirement may lead to
its breakdown.
The coffee grind size is directly related to the roast level. Use
a finer grind for darker roasted coffee and a coarser grind for
lighter roasted coffee.
General Coffee Grinder Adjustment Rule
– If, when making coffee, the flow of coffee from the coffee
spout (9) is very slow (the grinding is too fine and the taste
of coffee is too strong), gently turn the grinding adjuster
knob (4) clockwise to the next position to set the grinder
to a coarser grinding.
– If, when making coffee, the coffee flow is very fast and
very light (the grinding is too coarse and the taste of cof-
fee is too weak), gently turn the grinding adjuster knob
(4) counterclockwise to set the coffee grinder to a finer
grinding.
Expanding Coffee Grinder Adjustment Range
If the quality of the prepared beverage is unsatisfactory when
using certain coffee blends and the available coffee grind
size adjustment range is not sufficient, you can modify the
grind size within broader limits.
If you need a coarser grind, use a fine screwdriver to push the
center of the grinding adjuster knob (4) (fig. 20). While hold-
ing the screwdriver in this position, turn the grinding adjuster
knob clockwise one click (from position 5 to the next position)
and release the screwdriver. In this knob position, additional 4
coarser grind settings will become accessible.
To return to the original grind size range, press the center of
the grinding adjuster knob (4) and set the knob to 5.
If you need a finer grind, press the center of the grinding ad-
juster knob (4). While holding the screwdriver in this position,
turn the grinding adjuster knob counterclockwise one click
(from 1 to the next position) and release the screwdriver. In
this knob position, additional 4 finer grind settings will be-
come accessible.
To return to the original grind size range, press the center of
the grinding adjuster knob (4) and set the knob to 1.
Note: Do not place too many or excessively long coffee
beans in the coffee bean container: Excessively long beans
can compromise coffee quality, and too many beans can
become damp (especially in humid weather), affecting the
grinder's operation. Ground coffee might not come out of the
grinder, the coffee might not brew properly, or the resulting
coffee might be too weak.
Preparing the Milk Delivery System
– Insert the milk frother (8) into the coffee spout (9) (fig. 21),
if it hasn't been previously installed, or verify its correct
installation.
While holding the coffee spout (9), press the milk frother (8)
from below and push upward on both sides until it clicks into
place (fig. 22). Make sure that the milk frother (8) is securely
held by the locks in the coffee spout (9).
Note: The milk frother (8) has an inlet hole on the right side
for attaching the nozzle of the milk delivery tube.
