Use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
The watch winder is for agitating mechanical automatic watches and thereby winding them.
It must only be used with the power transformer included in delivery.
The power transformer is suitable for use only with normal household mains sockets with 230
V~/50 Hz alternating voltage.
The watch winder and the power transformer must only be used in indoor areas. Do not use out-
doors. Contact with moisture, for example in bathrooms and other such places, must be avoi-
ded.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involve the
risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled.
Always observe the safety instructions.
This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
An exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates that important instructions
come with the operating manual.
The "hand" symbol indicates that special information and advice are recom-
mended for operating the device.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversions and/or modifications to the
product are not permitted.
• The enclosed power transformer is constructed according to protection class II.
• In order to disconnect the watch winder completely from the mains supply, the plug-in power
supply has to be disconnected from the mains socket.
• Never replace a damaged connecting cable on the power unit. If the connecting cable is dama-
ged, the power unit is unusable and must be disposed of. Do not repair.
• Devices that operate on the mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of children. For this
reason, be particularly careful when using the device in the presence of children. They may try
to stick objects into the device, through openings in the housing. There is danger of a life-threa-
tening electric shock.
• Check the device and the power transformer from time to time for damage. Do not touch the
power pack, the watch winder, or the connection cable if they show visible damage. First,
switch off at the mains socket to which the product is connected (e.g. with the circuit breaker),
and then carefully unplug the transformer from the mains socket. Do not use the product after-
wards; instead, take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never position vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vases or
plants, in the direct vicinity of the device. Liquids may seep into the casing and thus impair the
electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of fire or a lethal electric
shock! In such an event, isolate the mains socket to which the product is connected (e.g.
switch off the automatic fuse) and unplug the power transformer from the mains socket.
Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not place open flames, such as burning candles, on or close to the watch winder.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely connect it,
consult a trained technician.
• Do not leave packing material unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Do not operate the device when it is unattended.
• Do not use the device in a tropical climate.
• Also observe further safety instructions in the individual sections of this operating guide.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or
another specialist.

Set-up
When selecting the set-up location, take the room layout into consideration (e.g. location of the
nearest socket, etc.).
Also keep in mind, when selecting the set-up location, the need to avoid proximity to direct sun-
light, vibration, dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Keep the product away from
strong transformers or motors.

Connecting the Power Adaptor

• Connect the low voltage adapter of the power unit with the power socket (2) on the product's
rear.
• Plug the power transformer into the wall socket.
The device should be operated only on stable, level surfaces.
Make sure you position the appliance in a safe and stable place, away from
objects that might fall on it, thereby avoiding unwanted accidents.
Avoid heavy impacts, or moving the device, especially when it is in use.
In view of the variety of paints and polishes used for furniture, the base of the device
may leave visible marks on the furniture on which it is placed, as a result of a chemi-
cal reaction. Therefore, do not place the device on the surface of valuable furniture
without appropriate protection.
Only the power transformer supplied may be used for connecting to the mains.
Connect the power unit only to a normal mains socket connected to the public
supply.
Make sure that the current designation on the power unit agrees with the
mains voltage of your power supply. Never try to operate the device with any
other voltage.
Make sure that the connecting cable cannot be pinched or damaged by sharp
edges when making the connection.
The mains socket to which the transformer is connected must be easily acces-
sible, so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains voltage in the event
of a fault.
