14. troubleshooting
14.1 status display of the charge controller

Green
No fault
The charge controller is working correctly.
Red
Fault
The rotary selector for charging (R1) or the core
sensor (B1) is faulty or not connected. Not charg-
ing.
Orange
Fault
Internal discharge controller (A2) is faulty.
Room temperature sensor (B2) is faulty or not
connected.
The rotary selector for discharging (R2) is faulty or
not connected. The room temperature is regulated
to approx. 22 °C.
14.2 Fault table

The appliance does not warm up.
When the outside temperature is mild, the
appliance charge is too high (when using a
charge control system).
When the outside temperature is mild, the
appliance charge is too high (when adjust-
ing the charge manually).
Appliance does not discharge.

Cause
Heating element contactor control is faulty.
No power supply to the storage heater
No power supply at the charge controller.
High limit safety cut-out (F1) has responded.
The charge control system is incorrectly adjusted.
The charge controller is not working properly.
The transmission of the control signal is interrupted. Check whether control signal Z1 of the charge control system
The heating curve is incorrectly adjusted.
The outside temperature sensor is faulty.
The charge controller is transmitting an incorrect
control signal.
Thermo-mechanical charge controller settings at the
storage heater.
The fans are not turning.
The fluff filter in the air inlet grille is clogged.

Check the heating element contactor control.
Check the fuse/MCB in the main distribution box.
Check the fine-wire fuse between the mains terminals X1 and
X2 (see chapter "Troubleshooting/Replacing a fuse").
Check the power supply. See chapter "Power connection"
and/or "Specification".
Reset the high limit safety cut-out (see chapter "Resetting the
high limit safety cut-out").
Check the charge control system settings.
Check the position of the jumpers at charge controller A1.
to terminal A1/Z1 in the storage heater is active.
Check the charge control system settings
Test the outside temperature sensor and replace it if required.
Check the position of the jumpers at charge controller A1.
Check the setting at the charge controller.
Check whether the room temperature controller has switched
on and whether voltage is present at terminal LE in the stor-
age heater.
Clean the fluff filter. See chapter "Cleaning, care and mainte-
nance".
Check whether the air supply is obstructed, e.g. due to thick
carpets.
Check whether the protective temperature controller (N5) in
the air outlet has responded.
