Installation
Location for Installing the Master unit
Do not install the master unit on metallic surfaces or next to electronic devices such
as TV sets or computers. If you want to protect yourself against housebreaking, you
should chose the location in such way that a burglar passes the monitored area as
early as possible. The master unit should be mounted in about 1.75 m height on a
solid, vertical surface, e.g. a wall or a cupboard. The master unit should not be pla-
ced near heatings or air-condtions. Chose a location near a wall outlet and a tele-
phone socket. Pets like dogs or cats could trigger the alarm and should therefore not
be kept in rooms supervised by the PIR sensor.
The master unit has a removable fastening that can be fixed to the wall with the enc-
losed screws. Before the final installation at the selected place, please make
sure that the PIR sensor can supervise the complete area and that the signal of
the remote control is received correctly. If necessary, try again and change the
location of the master unit to obtain an optimal transmission and reception. Install
the master unit indoors in a protected area.
Mounting the Wall Support of the Master Unit
1. Use the support as a stencil and mark the bore-holes.
2. Bore the necessary holes with the required depth. Use dowels if necessary.
3. Screw the support to the wall and clip the master unit into the support.
4. Turn and twist the master unit into the desired position.
Location of the Alarm Contact
Make sure you install the alarm contact and the magnet in parallel at one height.
The distance between the alarm contact and the magnet must not exceed 10 mm.
