2. Intended Use

This reversing video system makes parking easier. The wireless CCD camera is installed at the back
of the car. By providing a view of the parking space with an aperture angle of 90°, it enables the driver
to identify objects or other vehicles early.
The camera image is transmitted to the 7" TFT monitor by an 18 metre connection cable where it is dis-
played.
The camera is also equipped with IR LEDs for image rendition when it is dark. Please note that the
images are black and white when the IR LEDs are active during darkness. The IR LEDs light a range of
about 5 m, depending on ambient conditions.
The 7'' TFT monitor supplied provides a colour image.
This product may only be operated if it is connected to a 12V/DC vehicle power supply with the negative
terminal of the car battery connected to the body. It may only be installed and operated in cars, motor
caravans, or lorries providing this kind of supply voltage.
The monitor and remote control supplied must not become damp or wet. The camera supplied is weat-
her-resistant and suitable for outdoor use.
Any use other than the intended use described above is not permitted and may harm the product and
result in short circuits, fire, etc. The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the
safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Please read the operating instructions care-
fully and keep them for later reference.
