Intended use
The product is intended for illuminating indoor areas; it may only be installed and used
in dry, enclosed indoor rooms. The product is intended for flash mounting e.g. in a
ceiling or wall.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may
be modified or converted!
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
The lightning symbol inside a triangle is a warning to inform you of potential
risks of personal injury, such as electrical shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and
use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The light complies with protection class III.
Keep a minimum clearance between the light outlet and the illuminated
0.5m
areas (e.g., easily flammable objects such as curtains or the like). The
appropriate minimum distance is specified on the light (in the example to
the left, the minimum distance is 0.5 m).
Do not embed the light in the insulating material during installation and
subsequent use,as this may lead to overheating of the light. Furthermore,
there is a fire hazard!
No "Cool beam" illuminant should be operated in the flush-mounted
light, risk of overheating and fire!
Only use a "self-shielded" halogen bulb as the light source (e.g., please pay
attention to the label on the bulb's packaging).
The product is intended only for installation and use in dry interiors; it must
not be exposed to moisture or dampness.
Observe the operating instructions!
Safety Instructions
R ead the complete operating manual carefully before using the product, as
it contains important information about the proper installation and opera-
tion.
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any re-
sulting damage!
W e shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions. In such cases, the warranty will be null and void.
I f you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but entrust the work to a qualified electrician.
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not al-
lowed for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children!
Install the product out of the reach of children.
• The product is designed according to protection class III.
• Only operate the recessed light with a bulb using an operating voltage of
12 V and an output of max. 50 W.
• The product may be mounted and operated only in dry, enclosed indoor
rooms. It must not get moist or wet during use (during installation of the
recessed light, this is admissible due to its design).
• Use the lamp only when it is permanently mounted.
• Do not use the recessed light in rooms or under adverse ambient condi-
tions where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present!
There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not hang or attach objects (e.g. decorative material) to the recessed
light; there is a risk of fire!
• Do not install the recessed light on easily flammable/highly combustible
surfaces.
• Keep a sufficient distance between the light exit opening of the recessed
light and illuminated surfaces, otherwise discolourations may appear on
the illuminated surface. Furthermore, there is a fire hazard.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibra-
tions or heavy mechanical stress.
Otherwise, damage to the product (breakage, cracks) may result, due to
the design of the lamp.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device
must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not
used unintentionally. After this, arrange for an expert to check the prod-
uct.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is flicker-
ing light, leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises,
or discolouration of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities are to be observed!
