13. Webcam function

Install the driver from the CD if you intend to use the camera as a webcam.

The webcam function is not available under Windows Vista.
Proceed as follows:
• Switch on the camera (hold down the "MODE" button for approx. 2 seconds).
• Connect the product to a free USB port on your computer using the provided USB cable.
• If connected for the first time, Windows will recognise the device as new hardware and install
it within a few seconds.
• The camera now works as a webcam.

Make sure that the camera is switched on before you establish the USB
connection to your computer.
Otherwise the PC will only recognise the camera as a removable drive, which
allows you to transfer the data from the internal memory or the inserted SD
memory card to your PC. See chapter 12.
• The start menu shows a new entry after the installation (e.g. "Sunplus Ca553a"). Click on
it to run the "Amcap" software.
Go to "OPTIONS" and select "Preview" in the menu of the software. The video images are
displayed after a short time.
