7. Startup

The system is given an initial configuration by Grundfos Service and
it comes with default settings on alarms and weather compensation
curves. The settings for the installation can be changed via the local
webserver or the online portal.
When the system is switched on for the first time, it performs a self-
test. It determines if all devices and sensors are connected and
available and that the valves respond as expected.
When the test is completed, the system is ready to operate or
provides the user with an error code via the online portal and local
webserver. The error code provides insight into the cause of the
problem and possible remedies.

8. Control functions

Grundfos BuildingConnect is capable of controlling heat exchangers
and mixing-loop applications using either three-way or two-way
valves with both modulating and three-point control.
Control functions are specified by Grundfos Service as part of the
configuration process.

You can access the system via the online portal. Grundfos has set
up your account. The online portal holds all information on system
state and errors and provides the interface for adjusting all system
settings.
Use Google Chrome to access the online portal.
1. Access the online portal using the link provided by Grundfos.
2. The first time you access the page, you need to set your
Grundfos login credentials. Use the email address you have
provided to Grundfos.
3. Log in to the portal.
4. Find your installation.
5. View your data and change settings if needed.

8.2.1 Resetting the password for the local webserver

8.2 Accessing the local webserver

The local webserver is a supplement to the online portal. The local
webserver contains basic information regarding error states, and
also the settings for the weather curve can be changed there.
You need access to the online portal before you can
access the local webserver. Use Google Chrome to
access the online portal.
To access the local webserver, do the following:
1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the controller (2).

2. Enter the link provided by Grundfos.
3. The first time you access the page, you must enter a unique
token to create a password. The token is generated from the
online portal.
4. Access the online portal, and find the button that generates a
new token.
5. Copy the token.
6. Insert the token in the requested field in the webserver.
7. Set your password.

9. Servicing the system

The controller cannot be serviced. Contact Grundfos if the controller
is faulty.

This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an environmentally
sound way.
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest Grundfos company or
service workshop.
